We’re Aidan, Ryland, and Pip, the proud owners of Quinta da Vespeira.

We moved from the U.S. to Portugal in 2021 with the dream of restoring an old home in the countryside. At the end of 2023, we found it: a wildly charming, totally overgrown farmhouse called Quinta da Vespeira, tucked into the hills of Torres Vedras.

Renovating a farm in Portugal is not for the faint of heart, but this is the project of a lifetime. Without blueprints or a formal plan, we transformed this long-neglected quinta into a soulful, welcoming respite, where every corner tells a story of hard work, imagination, and our appreciation for this country.

Quinta da Vespeira is a classic Portuguese beauty infused with just enough American efficiency; a sprawling property where owls hoot you to sleep and kids run free through wildflower-filled fields and coffee is best served poolside. It’s a place to feel your humanness: our 70-year-old vizinha stops by with fresh eggs and six enthusiastic dogs; friends turn up for a barbecue that turns into a sleepover. It’s a place to write your memoir or your album. To take a morning hike and a moonlit swim. A destination for family holidays and dress-up dance parties. The perfect backdrop for a photoshoot or a wedding.

And this is just the beginning.
